Forest official shot dead

Bandipora, Nov, 20: Gunmen shot dead an official of the Forest Department here in north Kashmir late Saturday night.
“Gunmen opened indiscriminate firing on the three Forest officials Ghulam Nabi Shiekh, Iftikhar Bhat and Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi who were on duty in compartment No. 9 in Ningli Range of Bandipore Forest division. The gunmen managed to escape after carrying out the attack. Injured officials were rushed to a hospital where Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi succumbed,” Divisional Forest Officer Bandipora Muhammad Maqbool told Greater Kashmir. 
 Police have registered a case and a hunt has been launched to trace assailants.
