Quality education

This refers to the need of imparting quality education to students. They say it is better to provide quality education to a single member of a family than to feed free the whole family. For me that sums up the importance of education in a society. Needless to say, what role does education play in moulding a society. Nevertheless the education is there but quality is lacking. Competition in its right sense seems alien.
In villages a student is terrified by the word 'school'. He finds himself in a unsettled atmosphere where unqualified armed forces (teachers) are ready to scold him, most of the time for reasons better known to them. Need is to bring out the best from students, not to make them mere parrots who know only how to mug up.
