Ganderbal Cong leaders call on Sonia

Srinagar, Nov 21: A delegation of Pradesh Congress, district Ganderbal, led by its president Sheikh Ashfaq Ahmad called on the Congress President Sonia Gandhi, general secretary Rahul Gandhi, in-charge Jammu and Kashmir Affairs Manmohan Prakash, member Kashmir Committee M L Foetadar and Ahmad Patil in New Delhi.
 The delegation apprized the Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other leaders about the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state and members of Congress party.
 “The Congress President Sonia Gandhi expressed strong anger and resentment against some opportunists indulging in anti-party activities in the state,” a JKPCC spokesman said. 
 “These elements are all set to damage the party which will be not tolerated,” he quoted Sonia as having said. 
 The delegation thanked the Congress president Sonia Gandhi and the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for fulfilling the long pending demand of the people of Ganderbal district by issuing orders for the establishment of Central University in district.
