National education curriculum not sufficing our needs: Justice Kirmani
Srinagar, Nov 21: Justice (Retd) Bashir Ahmed Kirmani has said the National Curriculum in education might not be sufficient to suffice our regional needs.
“We need educational policy which shall take care of our values and cultural ethos as well,” Justice Kirmani said while addressing the gathering, in a seminar “Your First Choice of School” at KU.
Justice Kirmani, said “We may have an examination system, but not an education system...When will young people stop considering qualifications as real education and do something worthwhile?" "It is important to re-look the entire education system and parents have a role to play while choosing the school for their children.”
Convocation Complex, Director, Prof Mufeed Ahmed emphasized the integration of life and entrepreneurship skills with the normal teaching learning system. Prof Mufeed opined that though we have abundance of talent, all we need is proper direction and exposure.
