2 killed, 26 wounded in JK mishaps
Jammu/Srinagar, Nov 22: Two persons were killed and 26 others injured in road accidents across the Jammu and Kashmir.
A woman was killed and two others wounded when a car (JK06-2499) they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge at Paranu in Bhaderwah.
The deceased has been identified as Shanti Devi, 65, wife of Kalyan Singh while the injured are Wilson, 45, and his wife Sushma Devi, 40, of Joda.
In another incident, a youth Royal Raina, son of Vijay Raina of Subash Nagar was killed and his two friends were critically wounded when their motorbike JK02AQ-1676 collided with a mini-bus JK02aQ-2477 at Paloura.
Meanwhile, twenty-two persons were injured in different road accidents in Kashmir.
According to the police spokesman, 12 persons were wounded when a mini bus bearing registration number (JK01J-2108) they were travelling in turned turtle at Dhara Harwan here.
All the injured were shifted to SKIMS, Soura for treatment, he said adding a case had been registered in this regard.
In another incident, three persons were wounded when a car bearing registration number (JK05-2931) they were travelling in, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Nadihal Bridge Panzalla, the spokesman said adding the wounded had been hospitalized.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number (JK05A-4508) turned turtle near Gunpost Nambla Uri, resulting in injuries to seven passengers, the spokesman said adding the injured were hospitalized.
