Reshuffle in Higher Judiciary
10 District Judges Shifted

Jammu, Nov 22: In a minor reshuffle, Jammu and Kashmir High Court Tuesday ordered transfer and posting of at least 10 district and sessions judges across the state.
As per the order issued by Janak Raj Kotwal, Registrar General of J&K High Court, Vinod Chatterji Koul Additional District and Sessions Judge Udhampur has been transferred and posted as Principal District and Sessions Judge Anantnag against available vacancy.
Abdul Rashid Bhat, Registrar Judicial High Court Srinagar Wing has been transferred and posted on deputation as Member J&K Special Tribunal Srinagar.
Muzaffar Iqbal Qureshi Member J&K Special Tribunal Srinagar has been posted as Additional District Judge TADA/POTA Srinagar. He shall also hold additional charge of the Court of Additional District Judge Bank Cases Srinagar with effect from December 1, 2011.
Muhammad Ashraf Malik Additional District Judge TADA/POTA Srinagar has been transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge Anantnag.
Mohinder Kumar Sharma Additional District and Sessions Judge Anantnag has been transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge Udhampur.
Muhammad Yousuf Akhoon Special Judge Anticorruption Srinagar has been transferred and posted Registrar Judicial High Court Srinagar Wing. Aijaz Ahmed Mir Presiding Officer MACT Srinagar has been transferred and posted as Special Judge Anticorruption Srinagar.
Ashok Kumar 4th Additional District and Sessions Judge Srinagar has been transferred and posted on deputation as Presiding Officer MACT Srinagar. The 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Srinagar Yash Pal Kotwal has been asked to hold the charge of Court of 4th Additional District and Sessions Judge Srinagar.
Romesh Kumar Wattal Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil and Muhammad Ibrahim Wani Additional District and Sessions Judge Srinagar shall swap their place of posting.
Shahzad Azeem (Direct Recruitment) appointed as District and Sessions judge Vide Govt order dated August 4, 2011 has been posted as Principal District and Sessions Judge Kupwara against available vacancy.
Meanwhile, Javed Alam CJM Ganderbal has been transferred and posted as Sub-Judge Chadoora against newly upgraded post. Abdul Qayoom Mir Munsiff Chadoora has been transferred and posted Munsiff Anantnag, while Tabassum Qadir Parray Munsiff Anantnag has been transferred and posted Munsiff Leave Reserve High Court Srinagar Wing.
