Army organises cricket match
Ganderbal, Nov 23: The 5 Rashtriya Rifles Bn (JAT) under the aegis of HQ 3 Sect RR organised one off T-20 cricket match between Army-XI and Media-XI at Qamaria Stadium, Ganderbal on November 23.
In the match Media-XI emerged as winner defeating Army-XI by 20 runs. Nisar Ahmad Bhatt of Media-XI was declared man of the match.
Media-XI won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 116 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted overs. In reply Army-XI were bundled out for 96 runs in 17 overs and loss match by 20 runs.
Commander 3 Sector Rashtriya Rifles Brig Niraj Seth was the chief guest on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Showket Ahmad Mir, KAS, Ex Chief Secretary J&K State Sheikh Ghulam Rasool, and DSP Harmeet Singh were also present during the occasion.
