Flights cancelled
Srinagar, Nov 23: Due to heavy fog and poor visibility at the Srinagar Airport at least eight flights were either diverted or cancelled on Wednesday.
“The flights couldn’t either land or take off from the Srinagar Airport since this morning,” Director Airport R K Malik told Greater Kashmir. Giving details, he said the heavy fog forced cancellation of the flights of Jet Airways, Indian Airlines, Spice Jet, Go Air, Kingfisher, Jetlite and Deccan.
“They made us wait till 4 pm and then announced that our flight stands cancelled. My flight was spice jet SG825 to Jammu which was cancelled. Now for tomorrow they have increased the fare to Rs 11000 causing us lot of inconvenience and loss,” a passenger said.
