Tour operators form new association

Srinagar, Nov 23: A group of Valley-based tour operators today formed a new forum ‘Association of Kashmir Tour Operators’.
 The decision was taken in a meeting at a local hotel here today, a statement said.
 The meeting said the new association would strive to resolve the long pending problems of inbound tour operators and promotion of tourism.
 Meanwhile, the meeting elected an ad hoc group of office bearers. Nazir Ahmed Wani of Rapid Tours and Travels was elected as president, Abdul Gaffar Daraaz of Vanda Tour and Travels as organiser, Umer Malik of Travel Bank as secretary general, Hilal  Ahmad of R.M.Holidays as Joint Secretary General.
 Following became the members of the committee: Rafiq Ahmad of Golden Harvest Travels & Tours, G M Khuroo of Gaffara Tours & Travels, Sheikh Muhammad Sultan of Just Tours.
