ERA organizes workshop on Contract Management

Jammu, Nov 24: A day-long workshop on Contract Management was organized by J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency at Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), Regional Branch Jammu here today.
  The Workshop was presided over and inaugurated by O.P. Dubey Director (Urban & Safeguards), J&K ERA.
 The workshop was attended by Khalid Muzaffar, Director (Central), J&K ERA, Zahoor. A Wani Director (Finance), J&K ERA, G.M. Dar,  Administrative Officer, S. L. Kapoor, Project Manager (Urban), J&K ERA & R.K. Gupta, Project Manager (Transport), Jammu J&K ERA besides Superintending Engineers, Chief Engineers, Executive Engineers from various departments and officers from ERA PIU, PMC and DSC’s.
 More than 120 participants were present during the proceeding of the workshop, an official statement said.
 Director Urban J&K ERA gave an introduction of the contract management programme and also narrated his experience of ERA in operating through FIDIC contract and highlighted the issues arising out of implementation of these contacts.
 He talked about the capacity building programme being funded by ADB and its relevance in improving the project execution, is implementation and better understanding of the contract agreement thereby by minimizing dispute between contractor-employer.
 The work shop was divided into different sessions.
