Srinagar, Nov 25: Ayatollah Yousuf Memorial Trust on Saturday organised Annual Ayatollah Yousuf Memorial Day at Imambara Bemina to commemorate the 30th death anniversary of founder of Anjuman-e Sharie Shian J&K Ayatollah Aga Syed Yousuf Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi.
 The cultural counsellor, Iranian Cultural House, New Delhi, Dr Kareem Najafi, was the chief guest on the occasion as world renowned Qari, Aqai Nadaaf participated as the guest of honour.
 The function was presided over by chairman Ayatollah Yousuf Memorial Trust, Aga Syed Muhammad Fazlullah Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi.
 Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kareem Najafi said that Ayatollah Yousuf had played a significant role in spreading the message of Islam in Kashmir.
 Dr Najafi handed over the message of Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, to Aga Syed Muhammad Fazlullah Al-Moosvi.
 Mirwaiz Dr Umar Farooq, Moulvi Abbas Ansari, Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, Aga Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi, Mirwaiz Syed Abdul Lateef, Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir and others spoke on the occasion.
 Later, Ayatollah Yousuf Memorial Trust gave away this years annual Ayatollah Yousuf Memorial Awards to Prof Fida Muhammad Hassnain, Late Aga Syed Ali Safvi, Prof MH Zaffar, and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
