Vacant posts
This refers to the news “200 class IV posts vacant in Civil Secraterait.” It is highly unfortunate that the proposal to fill about 200 vacant Class IV posts in the Civil Secretariat has been put on the back burner for about past four years. On the one hand Government is saying that it is serious in addressing the problem of unemployment in the state. But, on the other, it is not filling up vacancies in different departments. There are thousands of posts vacant in other institutions across the state. They need to be filled up without any delay. The recruitment process through SSRB or PSC needs to be made more quick so that the posts are filled up urgently. There are youth who are crossing the upper age limit. They are well educated. If posts are not filled up urgently, they won’t be able to apply for them later. That would be more disastrous.
