2 booked for running fake study centre
Jammu, Nov 26: Two persons were booked for running a fake study centre here of a well known management university, police said today.
“Samreen Chib had complained that an unauthorised study centre was being run by the suspects and fake degrees were being awarded to the candidates in violation of UGC norms," a Crime Branch spokesman said.
A case was registered against Sukhvinder Singh and Bhupinder Kumar, who were running the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) at South Block, Bahu Plaza here, he said.
The study centre was neither a constituent of ICFAI University (Tripura) nor functioning as its counseling information centre, he said.
