DGP supervises police recruitment in City

Srinagar, Nov 28: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday organized a recruitment rally at HMT Factory Ground Zainakote while Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda monitored the proceedings.
“A large number of aspirants, including female candidates reached to the venue early in the morning to test their luck in the ground,” an official handout added.
Senior officials including IGP Kashmir, Shiv Morari Sahai, DIG Central Kashmir Range, AG Mir, AIG (Personnel) PHQ, Ghulam Hassan Bhat and SSP Srinagar, AH Bukhari conducted various tests of the candidates.
“As many as 161 youth including 2 females were selected in the rally in a transparent manner. Out of the selected candidates 49 are graduates and 86 10+2 who were put to various physical tests and selected on the basis of their performance and qualifications,” the handout said.
Giving details, the DGP said that the drive was organised in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir with the aim to provide employment to the eligible youth of these areas and to add effective strength to the department.
He said that today’s rally was organised for 230 Mohallas and Villages of Nyabat Batmalloo which also include Batmalloo, Qamarwari, Bemina, Chattabal, Karan nagar, Watal Kadal, Bal-garden, Sheedgunj, Alochibagh, Tengpora, Tulsibagh, GogjiBagh, Parimpora, Barthana, HMT,Kanikadal,Mujagund and Gundhasibhat.
Later, Khoda addressed the selected youth on the occasion and stressed upon them to keep themselves available for the service of the people.
He said that they have opted to join a large “Police Parivar whose priority is to serve the people and ensure safety of the state.”
