Govt doubles reward for whistle blowers

Jammu, Nov 29: The government on Tuesday enhanced the reward from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 for providing information about illegal sex determination in various USG Centers across the State.
The Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Sham Lal Sharma while chairing a meeting of State Supervisory Board on PC & PNDT Act, here said that government is committed to wipe out the menace of sex determination before birth from the state.
The Minister also launched an exclusive website for PC & PNDT Act. The website (www.pcpndtjk.in) has been specially designed for PC & PNDT Act which contains details regarding rules, regulations, and statistics relating to the Act.
“It will facilitate the people for on line filling of Form F for the owners of the USG clinics which is mandatory as per the Act. This would also help the state, divisional, district level authorities to retrieve and monitor the reporting of information provided on the form,” the Minister added.
