IGNOU term exam from December 1

Srinagar, Non 29: The Indira Gandhi National Open University is holding the term end examination from December 1.
 According to a communiqué, the examination would conclude on December 29.
 It said the University had established 801 examination centres including 40 overseas centres, 36 centres in Jails for jail inmates and 85 centres at PIs for convergence students.
 Hall Tickets (examination intimation slips) have been issued to 3,94,612 eligible students who had applied for appearing in the examination, it said adding the detailed hall ticket status was also available on IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in.
 The communiqué said that under Jammu Region, 37 examination centres had been established including 12 centres in Partner Institutes under the convergence scheme.
 The students can also download the hall tickets from the University website and appear in the examination, the communiqué said adding the students who had opted for examination centre under the Regional Centre Jammu are advised to contact the Regional Centre in case of any discrepancy.
 The examination centre staff has been instructed to allow students to appear in examination, even if they do not possess the hall ticket, but their names exist in the list of examinees for that Centre, it said and advised the students to bring along their Identity Card issued by the University during the examinations. The students should not carry mobile phones with them inside the examination hall, it added.
 The communiqué said that separate hall tickets will be issued to the students of BCA and MCA for Term-End practical examination. Students who are supposed to appear in practical in the examination centre under RC Jammu are advised to contact Regional Centre Jammu in the last week of December for their practical examinations, it said adding for BLISc. (Library Science) all theory examination centres were not activated for conduct of practical examination.
 The students should contact the centre superintendent and see the notice Board for practical examination centre, it added.
