Better coordination

This refers to the news “AICC for better coordination between NC-Cong”. Since the day coalition government assumed charge of managing Jammu and Kashmir, there seems to be a rift between the NC and Congress time and again. Sometimes it is about the rotational chief minister and sometimes about other issues like the AFSPA. Here the AICC has come in defence of Prof Saif ud Din Soz, the Pradesh Congress Commitee chief saying “If PCC President has said something (about AFSPA), there must be some reason behind it. We also feel that there is need for better coordination between the two coalition partners (National Conference and Congress) there.” The AICC general secretary has also said that there is a a Unified Command (in the state) and the Home Ministry and various others agencies concerned with it will take a decision on AFSPA. Congress seems to be expressing dissatisfaction with National Conference over the issue of AFSPA. This can not only scuttle lifting of AFSPA but also trigger discord between the coalition partners which is not in the interest of the state. Recently when Rahul Gandhi visited Kashmir, the Congress leaders raised the issue of rotational CM. It is good if NC sorts out issues with Congress so that the state doesn’t suffer.
