Man killed, woman injured in group clash
Srinagar, Nov 4: One person was killed and a woman critically injured in a group clash at Arigam, Khan Sahib in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
According to police spokesman, a scuffle broke out between the two families over a dispute. During the altercation, Sonaullah Ganaie, 65, son of Shaban Ganaie of Arigam died on the spot while as Janee wife of Ghulam Muhammad Ganaie of Arigam sustained critical wounds, the spokesman said.
He said the injured woman was shifted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard, he added.
1 DIES IN ROAD MISHAP
A man was killed and another injured in separate road accidents in Kashmir.
According to police spokesman, a motorcycle bearing registration number (JK18-2675) hit and critically wounded Abdul Majeed Ahanger, 60, son of Muhammad Akbar of Soiteng, Lasjan at Batwara here. The injured was admitted in SKIMS, Soura, for treatment, where he succumbed to his wounds, he said adding a case had been registered in this regard.
A Truck bearing registration number (JK03-3642) hit and injured, Mukhtar Ahmad Tedwa son of Ghulam Nabi of Rezin at Rezin, Ganderbal, he said adding the wounded had been shifted to SKIMS, Soura. A case has been registered in this regard.
LABOURER KILLED IN MISHAP
A labourer was killed in an accident in an oil mill in Budgam district.
According to the spokesman, Ali Muhammad Sheikh son of Bakir Sheikh of Goom Ahmad Pora, working as labourer in the mill got entangled in the moving rubber belt of the oil extraction machine, resulting in his on the spot death.
Police has registered a case in this regard, he added.
