Govt assures uninterrupted POWER SUPPLY
Gul visits Eidgah, Hazratbal shrine
Srinagar, Nov 5: Mubarak Gul, Advisor to Chief Minister Saturday assured uninterrupted power supply to the City during Eid-ul-Azha even as he visited Hazratbal shrine and Eidgah to take stock of the arrangements being made in connection with the festival .
An official handout said: “Gul instructed officers of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) to ensure proper cleanliness in and around the historical Aali Masjid and Hazratbal shrine besides at those places where big Eid congregations are to be held.”
He asked engineers of Power Development Department (PDD) to ensure uninterrupted power supply on the occasion. MLA, Hazratbal, Dr Mustafa Kamal, Vice-Chairman, Waqaf Board, MY Qadri, Director CAPD, Director, Sheep Husbandry, SP Traffic, officers from SMC, R&B, PHE and PDD departments accompanied the Advisor.
“Later talking to media persons, Gul said that Divisional as well as District administrations have been asked to monitor the Eid arrangements in their respective areas and said Government has appointed zonal and sectoral magistrates to keep vigil on markets to avoid overcharging,” the handout added.
