Rich tributes paid to Dr Reshi
Srinagar, Nov 5: Hundreds of mourners today bade tearful send off to late Dr NDA Reshi, Chief A H Officer, Srinagar, who passed away at Delhi on Wednesday where he had gone for a check up, is survived by wife and two sons.
Speakers at a specially convened condolence meeting after congregational Faateh Khawaani paid tributes to the deceased.
Speakers described Reshi as versatile person possessing the qualities of head and heart. His colleagues described him as an intelligent professionally sound officer who devoted himself to the cause of the profession and farming community. Dr Sheikh M Saleem, former Prez JK Vety Docs association presented a Taaziyat Nama to the bereaved family while A G Khan, a Congress leader thanked the mourners for standing by the family in the hour of the grief.
Dr Reshi after earning his BVSc & AH with merit from Nagpur Veterinary College joined the department in 1977 and had been working as Chief A H Officer Srinagar since Jun 2010. Earlier hundreds of people from a cross section of society attended his congregational Faateh Khawaani at his Mazar near Jehlum Market.
