Welcome move
I was glad to see Jamiat-e-Ahlihadees Jammu Kashmir throwing open the Cancer Pharmacy at its Diagnostic Centre to provide medicines for the cancer patients on “no profit no loss” basis.
The move is worth appreciation. There are very few organizations in the state that are working for the welfare of people and I think the JaH is one among them. Earlier it has been able to establish a full fledged Diagnostic Centre in Srinagar where patients can get tests done on very low cost. It is important for NGOs working in the state to work for betterment of people. I agree with the Centre mangers that a common patient of cancer cannot afford to purchase the medicines from open market. There is a dire need for opening such centres at various places. This is really an appreciable initiative taken by the Jamiat.
