Academy staff condoles Maqbool’s demise
Srinagar: The employees of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and theatre fraternity members have condoled the demise of noted playwright, theatre director and actor, Raja Maqbool.
Maqbool was an active member of Azad Dramatic Club, Ganderbal.
In a condolence meeting held here with Academy Secretary, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas in chair, the participants described Raja Maqbool as an accomplished theatre personality.
Zafar Iqbal Manhas said Maqbool’s death had created a vacuum in Kashmir theatre which would be hard to fill.
Echoing Manhas, noted theatre actor-director, Bhawani Yasir Bashir said Maqbool’s death was a great loss.
