Sarai Bala without streetlights
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Sep 30: The traders of Sarai Bala in the City centre are up in arms against the government for failing to provide “proper streetlights in the area.”
The traders said the lighting system was out of order for the past over two years whereas the Srinagar Municipal Corporation had failed to repair them.
“This market is one of the oldest and reputed Mandis but the government has failed to provide us street lighting even though the place also houses the shrine of Dastgeer Sahib (RA),” Maqbool Makhdoomi, Vice President Traders Association Sarai Bala told Greater Kashmir.
He appealed the Commissioner SMC Sheikh Mushtaq to look into the matter at an earliest.
