Mehjabeen Shafi Foundation donates Rs 11 lakh to CSK
Srinagar, Oct 9: Mehjabeen Shafi Foundation, a charity organization based in England-working for the eradication of cancer and looking after the patients affected with this deadly disease today donated about Rs 11 lakh to the Cancer Society of Kashmir (CSK) for purchase of the ambulances
While making the donation, Foundation chairman, Dr. M Shafi, lauded the efforts being made by the CSK in the eradication of cancer in the Valley and said the need of the hour was to create a sustained awareness about the disease which is vast spreading due to the lack of awareness about it.
The function was among others attended by Director SKIMS, Dr. Showkat Ali Zargar, Dr. Ashiq Hussain Naqshbandi, Dr. Abdul Ahad and other office bearers of CSK.
