NIT students threaten hunger strike
Srinagar, Oct 9: The students of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hazratbal have threatened to go on hunger strike from Monday if the administration failed to fulfill their demands.
A delegation told Greater Kashmir that the condition of bathrooms and toilets was pathetic and water supply remains affected after 8: 30 AM everyday.
“Six students are made to share a small room of the hostel,” they said adding “Being one of the advanced institutions of Information Technology, the Institute doesn’t have an internet facility.”
“We appeal to the concerned authorities to redress our grievances,” the students said and threatened to hold hunger strike if their demands were not fulfilled.
