SMC hosts anti-polythene rally
Srinagar, Oct 11: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation on Tuesday organized a anti-polythene rally in the south City areas.
A SMC handout said: “Different schools in uptown area of Srinagar including Bemina Bypass, Hyderpora, Batamaloo, Tengpora and Humhama participated in the rally.”
“The reason why SMC is continuously launching these drives is to observe change in peoples’ attitude, individuals behaviour and societies’ conduct towards cleanliness, safety of environment and also to ensure that no more polythene is being supplied, stopped or used,” said SMC’s Chief Sanitation Officer, Manzoor Ahmed Turray
