Batul Memorial girls shine, win 21 medals

12TH STATE SQAY CHAMPIONSHIP

Srinagar, Oct 12: The Batul Memorial Institute girls shined in the recently concluded 12th State Sqay Martial Art Championship by bagging 21 medals.
 The event was held at Boys Higher Secondary School Ganderbal and in it participants belonging to all the districts of the State participated. In girls’ section, the Batul Memorial Institute bagged almost all championship by winning 21 medals in different categories.
 In 23 kilogram category, Toiba Bashir bagged gold, Jahan Zaib silver and Saika Javeed bronze. In 27 kilogram category, Muntaha bagged silver medal. In 31-kilogram category Aiman Bashir bagged gold while Muskan Rafiq bagged silver.In 35-kilogram category, Munazah Amin bagged bronze medal while in 39-kilogram category Sakiya Bashir bagged bronze. in 43-kilogram category Alizah Ashraf bagged bronze medal while in open category Hiba Muhstaq bagged gold medal.
 In Khawan Kay event, Ahsanat Nazir bagged silver while Batool Qasir bagged bronze medal. In individual Jodak category, Munazah Khan bagged gold while Muntaha Manzoor and Bareerah Shabir bagged silver and bronze medals respectively. In group Jodak category, Munazah Khan, Aroosh Showkat and Hibba Muhstaq bagged gold medals. In Rambay event Aiman Bashir and Aroosh Showkat bagged gold and silver medals respectively.
 The management of the school has hailed the participants for bringing laurels for the institute by performing brilliantly in the event.
