DeM delegation visits Dr Qasim’s residence
Srinagar: A high level delegation of Dukhtaran-e-Millat visited the residence of Dr Muhammad Qasim, incarcerated Ameer of Muslim League Jammu Kashmir and husband of party chief Syeda Asiya Andrabi, on Tuesday to condole and console the family on the demise of his grandmother.
The delegation prayed for the deceased and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
In a statement, the DeM spokesperson said, “During his continued detention, seven relatives of Dr Qasim passed away, but he was not allowed to participate in the Nimaz-i-Jinaza of any of them.”
Meanwhile, the DeM has expressed serious concern over the nocturnal raids on the residences of students and their arrest.
The spokesperson has also expressed concern over the falling health of party’s incarcerated chief, Syeda Asiya Andrabi. “She is deliberately denied medical aid in jail to let her die slowly,” said the spokesperson, appealing to the people to pray for her recuperation.
