Gear up Brari Nambal beautification: Sagar tells admin
Srinagar, Oct 12: Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Sagar Wednesday asked the administration to speed up the pace of work on the Brari Nambal beautification project.
The Minister, as per an official handout, was speaking at a review meeting convened to discuss the status of implementation of various developmental schemes being undertaken by the government in the City.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer, Superintendent Engineers of UEED, R&B, LAWDA, SMC, PHE and other senior officers of various executing agencies.
Sagar impressed upon the officers to speed up the process of implementation of this prestigious project so that it is completed well within the stipulated time frame.
The Minister also directed SE LAWDA to ensure that the construction of STP at Bagi-e-Roop Singh is undertaken on priority basis.
He also directed SE R&B to come out with “a comprehensive programme for acquisition of the structures at Aali Kadal and Budagear area so that the road widening and beautification of this historic area is undertaken on heritage pattern”.
The Minister also asked the officers of SMC to “speed up the process of execution on the city gate at Baba Demb and other developmental activities being undertaken by them and also prepare a comprehensive monthly status report so that they can be properly monitored”.
