Post local docs in Kokernag health centres: Peerzada to Health Department
Srinagar, Oct 12: Education Minister, Peerzada Muhammad Sayeed on Wednesday directed the Health department authorities to post the doctors appointed under RBA category from Brang Kokernag Constituency to their respective places to fulfill the shortage of medicos in all the functional health institutions of Block Larnoo.
He also directed them to release funds immediately for Gadool, Mathindoo, Keherpora and Sagam Primary Health Centres so that leftover works can be completed within a time frame.
These directions were given by the Minister in a review meeting convened to look at the problems and difficulties faced by the health institutions operating in Brang Constituency.
Threadbare discussion was held on medical facilities and equipments available in all the health institutions of Kokernag area.
It was informed in the meeting that nine ambulances are available in block Larnoo, out of which two are non-functional. It was also informed in the meeting that operation table and laparoscopy are available in Sub-district hospital, Kokernag. Monitor and cautary order has already been placed to the authorized dealer, the meeting was told.
The Minister directed the Director Health Services, Kashmir to ensure functioning of these ambulances and release funds immediately for the purpose.
