Shahr-e-Khaas traders concerned over dilapidated structures
APPEAL CM
Srinagar, Oct 12: All Kashmir Traders Federation Shahr-e-Khaas Zaina Kadal has expressed serious concern over the dilapidated structures in Bohri Kadal saying they pose immense risk to the life of people.
The Federation held a meeting with its president Nazir Ahmad Shah in chair and expressed strong resentment over the failure of the successive regimes to demolish the dilapidated buildings in Bohri Kadal area near new bridge.
“The structures are in such a bad shape that there is high risk that they can fall anytime. They even lead to frequent traffic jams in the area. The dilapidated structures were identified for demolition during the regime of then Chief Minister Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah in early 70s’. However, despite passing of nearly four decades, the proposal is gathering dust,” Shah said.
“We make a fervent appeal to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to look into the matter and direct the concerned authorities to demolish the dilapidated buildings,” Shah said.
The meeting among others was attended by Omar Gani, Ali Muhammad and Abdul Hamid Buchh.
