KCCI discusses JK's investment scenario with US embassy representative

Srinagar, Oct 13: A delegation of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry today held a meeting here with Second Secretary, Economic Affairs, U.S. Embassy, Sam Chernawsky.
 The meeting discussed industrial development, investment climate in J&K and cross-LoC trade.
 The meeting was presided over by Junior Vice President KCCI Nazir A Wani.
 Wani on the occasion presented a “detailed working paper” on the present scenario of industry in J&K. The paper gives details about the “thrust areas having potential for private investment in Kashmir,” the chamber in a statement said.
 The chamber in the meeting called for lifting of travel advisories on Kashmir.
 The delegation also sought permanent space for marketing/trade fairs/exhibitions in different cities of the US.
 Sam Chernawsky, according to the statement, appreciated the efforts of the Chamber for giving a detailed report.
 He assured that more interactive meetings in future with the chamber shall be conducted.
