Dog city
This refers to the recent news report according to which dogs are going to outnumber humans in Srinagar city. This is an alarming scenario and we all must wake up to the occasion. One wonders as to why are politicians sleeping on the issue. If we have such heated debates in assembly about other issues, why are our representatives silent about dog menace? So many deaths and injuries have been reported in the past, but no one seems to be seriously concerned about the menace we all are facing. This is the prime responsibility of the government to think about the problem and come out with a permanent solution. Moreover it sounds absurd to have dog pounds at a place where humans don't have much space to live. After all we must not forget that human life has more importance than the life of a canine. We know animal rights, but we must know human rights also.
