NC demands restoration of pre-1953 position

Srinagar, Oct 14: Newly appointed chief spokesman of ruling National Conference Dr Mustafa Kamaal on Friday said that restoration of pre-1953 to the state would “heal the wounds of Kashmiris and rekindle their faith in democracy.”
 Addressing party workers here, he said the pre-1953 position was the “best solution” to Kashmir issue.
 “We appeal leaders of both the countries to throw open all the trade and travel routes  and allow people to move freely. The temporary borders between the two parts of Jammu and Kashmir should be erased like the Berlin Wall,” Dr Kamaal said.
