Intra-university youth festival to begin from Oct 17
Srinagar: Kashmir University is all set to hold Sonzal 2011 week-long intra-university youth festival for the students of the varsity and its affiliated collages from October 17.
In a statement, the University spokesman said the Governor N N Vohra complimented the Department of Students Welfare and the Vice chancellor for this upcoming event. “The Governor said that the youth festival provides the students an exciting opportunity to display their creative talents,” it said.
It states that the Vice-chancellor Kashmir University Prof Talat Ahmad said such events provide an opportunity to talented young artists to project their talent.
Dean Students Welfare KU Prof Nilofar Khan said Sonzal would involve 30 Degree Colleges and 37 University Teaching Departments. The event is being sponsored by J&K Bank, Peaks Auto, Big 92.7, Distance Education Department KU, Spectrum besides Greater Kashmir and Kashmir Uzma newspapers are the media partners of the event.
