3 killed, 7 wounded in Doda mishap
Doda, Oct 16: At least three persons were killed and seven others wounded in a road accident at Chata here today evening.
Official said three persons were killed and seven others injured when the Tata Sumo (JK14A-3491) they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge at Chata area.
The deceased were identified as Adil Butt son of Samunder Butt, Ghulam Nabi son of Abdul Gani Akhoon and Mubina Bano daughter of Abdul Majid Mir, all residents of Doda.
The injured were admitted at the District Hospital Doda, where condition of some of them remained critical.
The injured were identified as Mushaira Begam daughter of Abdul Majid, Asif Ali son of Abdul Majid, Rehmata Begam wife of Abdul Rehman, Akhtar Hussain son of Samunder Bhutt, Munira Begam wife of Shamas Din, Zubair Ahmed son of Shamas Din, Nusrat Begam wife of Ghulam Nabi Akhoon and Imtiyaz Ahmed, all residents of Doda.
Meanwhile, a youth identified as Rakesh Kumar son of Jagdish Kumar of Bishnah was injured when the motocycle, he was riding was hit by a speedy car at Rattlal area of Bishnah.
Meanwhile, reports said a girl was crushed by a speeding Sumo in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The girls was identified as Insha Tariq daughter of Tariq Ahmad Kar of Trali-Bala at 5pm on 16 Oct. The driver of the vehicle has surrendered before police.
A motorcycle hit and injured a child, Fazil Ahmad Shah son of Sirajudin Shah of Hangulgund Kokernag at Hangulgund road. The injured was hospitalized. Police has registered a case and started investigation.
