Air India Plane Fails To Take Off Twice At Srinagar Airport
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Oct 16: A Jammu-bound Air India plane with 145 passengers on board Sunday failed to take off twice from the Srinagar International Airport, triggering off scare.
Sources told Greater Kashmir that the Air India-822 plane developed a technical snag after it attempted to take off for Jammu from the Srinagar Airport at around 2.50 PM. The plane, the sources said, couldn’t take off in the first go. The pilot, the sources said, made a second attempt to take off the plane at around 4.50 PM but failed.
“The plane has been parked at Stand No 7 of the Srinagar Airport,” the sources said.
Sources said 145 passengers, including the Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti, were on board the plane.
The failure to take-off twice caused panic among the passengers. “Anything untoward during landing and take off can prove fatal,” said an airport official. “This plane couldn’t take off twice which caused panic among the passengers. The plane has been grounded in Srinagar.”
