K-resolution must for Indo-Pak friendship: JKLF (R)
Srinagar, Oct 17: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chief patron and executive director, Kashmir Centre, Brussels, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo on Monday said the de-escalation of tension between India and Pakistan was impossible without resolution of Kashmir issue.
“Once Kashmir issue is resolved, all the problems including Indo-Pak tension, human rights violations, lawlessness, AFSPA and other black laws would come to an end,” said Tramboo, appealing all the international human rights champions to play their positive role to help resolve Kashmir issue peacefully through talks.
Tramboo, according to the Front statement, said the international human rights organizations should first of all ask New Delhi to discontinue its policy of ‘double standards vis-à-vis Kashmir issue.’ “On the one hand, New Delhi makes tall claims about talks and, on the other, there is no let up in the arrests of pro-freedom leaders and atrocities on the Kashmiris. Besides, its politicians also continue to harp on Kashmir being an integral part of India, which is unacceptable and against the very spirit of talks,” he said.
Tramboo clarified that the resolution of Kashmir issue was imperative for abiding peace in the South Asia.
