Pensioners appeal DSEK

Srinagar: The former non-teaching employees of the School Education department, Kashmir division, who attained superannuation from 01-01-2006 to 30-06-2009 are yet to receive their leave salary and sixth pay commission arrears.“We were given gratuity and commutation by the treasury officers. The cash in lieu of leave salary was to be given by the head of the department concerned. But despite the lapse of about six months we are yet to receive residual cash in lieu of leave. We approached the authorities concerned a number of times for the release leave salary, but to no avail,” said the pensioners while talking to Greater Kashmir, appealing to the director School Education, Kashmir, for intervention and payment of leave salary and sixth pay commission arrears without further delay.
