Workshop on disaster management held

KUPWARA, Oct 17: One day workshop on Civil Defence and Disaster Management was held at Town Hall Kupwara today. The workshop was chaired by DIG Home Guard, Civil Defence, Kashmir. On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara praised the functioning of civil defence and its role for creating awareness about disaster management among the common people at the village level. More than 200 volunteers attended the workshop which comprised of practical disaster management training and lectures by experts.
