Don’t post non-cadre officials: KAS officers’ plea to CM
Srinagar, Oct 18: Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) officers on Tuesday urged the Chief Minister not to appoint non-cadre officers against the KAS cadre posts.
A delegation of KAS officers while talking to Greater Kashmir said, “Government should change its policy of appointing non-cadre officers to fill the vacant posts of KAS officers. Non-cadre officers who have been appointed against theses posts should be transferred to their respective departments forthwith.”
The KAS officers alleged that non-cadre officers occupying the KAS posts has resulted in a mess. “Many newly selected KAS officers have joined various departments during past two years. Government should pave the way for them and give them the postings they deserve,” officers added.
“We request the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to consider all these aspects and take a firm decision in this regard,” they said.
