Govt sanctions Rs 2 Cr for treatment
Srinagar, Oct 19: Minister for Medical Education R S Chib on Wednesday said the Government has sanctioned Rs 2 crore for Government Medical College, Jammu and Srinagar for the treatment of persons suffering from Haemophilia.
“We have sanctioned Rs two crore each for Government Medical College, Jammu and Srinagar for the treatment of Haemophilia”, he said while addressing the one-day conference here.
“The medicines will be provided free to the Haemophilia sufferers for their treatment for which adequate funds have been earmarked,” he said.
“Government will constitute a Steering Committee to monitor the cases of Haemophilia sufferers in the State. The enhancement of diagnostic facilities and trained manpower to deal effectively with the Haemophilia is in the active consideration of the Government,” the Minister said.
