Vakil concerned over slow dev process in JK
'CM MUST ADOPT DOUBLE, TRIPLE SHIFT POLICY'
Sopore, Oct 21: Former Minister and Member AICC, Abdul Gani Vakil has expressed concern over the slow development process in the state saying the works started before three years had not been completed yet.
He said most of the works which had been started during the tenure of Ghulam Nabi Azad had not been completed till today and even some projects sanctioned during his time have not been taken up yet. “The power grid station project at Dangiwacha costing Rs 29 crores hasn’t been taken up despite being approved during the tenure of Ghulam Nabi Azad and similarly a receiving station which needs only a panel has not been started since three years.”
He stressed upon Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to adopt double and triple shift working introduced by former Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad which proved successful during his tenure. Vakil also stressed upon Chief Minister to activate the same double and triple shift working style to achieve development of Jammu & Kashmir.
Addressing public at Hathlangoo and Hadipora here, Vakil also stressed upon CM for regular supervision and monitoring of works at District level and demanded strict action against those who are creating obstruction in the development process.
Vakil said Congress was committed to corruption free system. “Lambasting Anna Hazare for criticizing Congress only has clearly shown that he is working for RSS otherwise he would have not targeted the party only. If he would have been sincerely against corruption then he should not have spoken only about Congress, but every single party who are involved in corruption.”
