Weather improves in Valley

Srinagar Oct 24: After incessant rains, weather improved in the Valley today bringing some respite for people even as traffic on Srinagar-Leh Highway resumed after day long suspension following snowfall at Zojila. The summer capital witnessed a rise of about six degree in maximum temperature, recording at 17.5 degrees Celsius against 11.0 degrees Celsius yesterday. Even as the mercury showed upward trend in most parts of the Valley, the world famous ski-resort Gulmarg continued to shiver under sub-zero temperatures. Gulmarg recorded minus 3.2 degrees Celsius.
