Hajj pilgrim dies of cardiac arrest
Ramban, Oct 27: A Hajj pilgrim, who was on way to Srinagar to take a flight to Jeddah, died of cardiac arrest here on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses said that Abdul Gani son of Haji Lal of Village Gadar, tehsil and district Rajouri – who was part of a batch of Hajj pilgrims from Rajouri district – complaint of chest pain, near here.
He fell unconscious and was rushed to the District Hospital Ramban by the other pilgrims, eyewitnesses said adding he was, however, declared brought dead by the doctors.
Doctors said that the preliminary investigation suggest that the pilgrim die of cardiac arrest.
481 pilgrims leave
The 11th batch of 481 Hajj Pilgrims left for Jeddah from Srinagar Airport today in three flights and so for 7507 Hajj pilgrims have left for Jeddah.
Attention Hajj Pilgrims
According to Executive Officer Jammu and Kashmir State Hajj committee, all those pilgrims of Hajj- 2011 who have cancelled their Hajj pilgrimage after endorsement of visa and have kept the passport with them are hereby informed to deposit the said passport in hajj office, Bemina on October 28, 2011 so that they can be submitted to HCII for cancellation of Visa.
Also all those Hajj Pilgrims of 2011, whose names does not appear in the flight schedule for 28th, 29th and 30th October 2011 are informed to report Hajj House Bemina on October 28, 2011 at 10: am. No claim shall be entertained after the expiry of said date.
