Medina Colony sans water
Srinagar, Oct 28: Residents of Lane 4, Medina Colony, Rangpora are “without water supply for the past four weeks and the concerned waterworks officials are in no mood to mend the suffering of the people.”
A delegation from the area told Greater Kashmir that after toiling hard for 3 years a water supply connection was granted and installed in the locality in the month of September. But right after the installation the supply line developed cracks at various spots resulting in the wastage of precious potable water.
The locals said instead of making repairs, the water supply to the area has been snapped causing a lot of problem to them.
The delegation alleged that though they made repeated pleas to the concerned PHE field staff, they were not paying any heed to the issue. They appealed the concerned Executive Engineer PHE to look into the matter.
