PSG Tangmarg holds annual essay contest
Tangmarg, Oct 2: To boost and explore the mental ability of the students, Professional Students Guild (PSG) Tangmarg conducted its annual essay contest in Town Hall Kunzar today.
In a statement, the Guild said the contest was part of its career counseling in which the students from classes’ 6th to 12th standard participated in different categories. The topics for essays included contemporary issues like problems of old aged people in contemporary times and proper use of mobile phones.
Later a valedictory function was held in which the results of the Mental Ability Test held on August 14, 2011 were declared. President of Employees Joint Action Committee J&K Ab Qayoom Wani who was the chief guest on the function, distributed prizes among the meritorious students.
Shahid ul Islam of Hamdania Public High School Kunzar, Sameer Lone of Muhammadia High School Kunzar, Syed Irtiza Majeed of Army Goodwill School Ziran, Aadil Majeed Malik of Govt.Hr.Sec.School Hardshoora, Parvez Ahmad War of Iqra School Druroo, Afsa Wani of Hamdania High School Kunzar and Shameem Ah Para of Muhammadia High School Kunzar respectively bagged the first seven positions.
On the occasion a seminar entitled Real Goal of Education was convened in which speakers threw light on the various aspects.
