Sarpanch, Panchs lock BDO office in Ganderbal

Lar (Ganderbal), Oct 2: Outraged over the continued absence of Block Development Officer (BDO) and other staff members, Panchs and Sarpanchs from Lar area on Saturday sealed the office of the BDO Wakura.
“There was only one employee present in the office at around 12:30 pm on Saturday, while as other employees, including the BDO, were absent. We put a lock on the main gate and informed the district administration,” a Panch told Greater Kashmir.
After locking the gates, a delegation comprising of Sarpanch and Panchs called on the Assistant Development Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal and informed him about the “callous attitude” of the officials. Taking a strong note of the complaint, the ADC informed the District Development Commissioner Ganderbal ShowkatAhmad Mir about the incident.
The DDC Ganderbal while talking to Greater Kashmir said that strict action would be taken against the BDO Wakura and other employees for remaining
absent from duties.
