Division among separatists harmed movement: ‘General’ Mosa
Srinagar: Senior Hurriyat Conference (G) leader ‘General’ Mosa Saturday advised the separatist leaders to revisit their strategy to carry forward the movement.
Immediately after his release from Srinagar Central Jail after two years, he said division within the ranks of separatist leadership has harmed the movement immensely. “Nation has given lot of sacrifices for the cause and it adds to the responsibilities of the leadership. We have to revisit our strategy and see why leadership couldn’t sustain 2008 and 2010 uprising despite full support from people,” Mosa was quoted by local news agency KNS as saying.
“We have to revisit from 1938 to 2011 and see where we went wrong and how we can move forward to achieve our goal. For that unit among the leadership is inevitable,” he added.
‘General’ Mosa was arrested on 24 October 2009 and lodged in Udhampur jail. However, he was later shifted to Central Jail Srinagar due to health reasons.
