Police file cheating case, arrest operator
Srinagar: Police on Saturday arrested one of the partners of Al-Hajj Tours and Travels, a company providing Hajj and Umrah Services, for “cheating” around 100 aspiring Hajj aspirants in Kashmir.
“We’ve arrested a partner of the Al-Hajj tours and travels, Zahoor Ahmad Darzi son of Ghulam Muhammad of Chanapora and seems to be in nexus with Hajeej (Hajeej India Hospitality Pvt Ltd),” Station House Officer Sherghari, Zahoor Ahmad told Greater Kashmir.
He said that an FIR 126/2011 under section 420 CrPC was registered against the company.
The official said the operator had allegedly duped the aspirants of Rs two crore.
